Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MSP01-T is an investigational oral bowel cleansing agent being developed to improve colonoscopy preparation by enhancing cleansing quality and patient compliance while minimizing adverse effects. It is administered as a split-dose tablet regimen (10 tablets the day before and 10 tablets on the morning of colonoscopy) and is being evaluated in a phase 3, randomized, active-controlled trial against a standard bowel preparation in adults undergoing colonoscopy.[1][4][7] Although the exact active ingredients and molecular mechanism have not been publicly detailed, MSP01-T is intended to act locally in the gastrointestinal tract to induce bowel cleansing with a more tolerable safety and acceptability profile compared with existing preparations.[4][7]
