MSTAR0801 is a preclinical-stage drug candidate being developed by Marengo Therapeutics for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. It is the lead program derived from the company's proprietary MSTAR (Precision T Cell Depletor) platform, which represents a first-in-class selective T cell depletion technology. The MSTAR platform utilizes multi-specific antibody constructs designed to target germline-encoded T cell receptor (TCR) variable regions. This approach enables the precision depletion of specific T cell subsets, including pathogenic and autoreactive T cells that drive autoimmune conditions, while sparing the broader immune system. MSTAR0801 is wholly owned by Marengo Therapeutics and is being advanced through a research collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania's Institute for Immunology and Immune Health to investigate the use of germline TCR regions in autoimmune diseases.
