MSV is an autologous cell therapy consisting of culture-expanded mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from the patient's bone marrow. Developed by Red de Terapia Celular in collaboration with the University of Valladolid and the Instituto de Terapia Regenerativa Tissular, it is specifically designed for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (Grade II-IV). The production process involves harvesting bone marrow from the patient, isolating and expanding the MSCs ex vivo under GMP-compliant conditions (the IBGM-Valladolid protocol), and subsequently re-administering the cells via intra-articular injection. The therapeutic effect is attributed to the anti-inflammatory properties of the MSCs and their potential to promote the regeneration of articular cartilage, leading to improvements in pain, joint function, and cartilage quality.
