MSV-H is an autologous cell therapy product consisting of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from a patient's own maxillary bone marrow. Developed by the Red de Terapia Celular in collaboration with the Instituto de Biología y Genética Molecular (IBGM) and the Blood and Tissue Bank of Asturias, the treatment involves the isolation and expansion of MSCs under GMP conditions. These expanded cells are then seeded onto a patented autologous cross-linked plasma scaffold (matrix) to create a bioengineered implant. This implant is surgically placed into the cavity remaining after the removal of a maxillary bone cyst to promote bone regeneration and structural repair. The therapy has been evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials (such as the BIOMAX study) to validate its safety and efficacy in regenerating maxillofacial bone defects.
