MT-2355 is a pentavalent combination vaccine developed by Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation in collaboration with The Research Foundation for Microbial Diseases of Osaka University (Biken) for the prophylaxis of pertussis, diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) infections, primarily targeting infants. It consists of diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis (DPT), inactivated poliovirus (IPV), and Hib components, designed as a single injection to simplify pediatric immunization schedules in Japan. Phase 3 clinical trials, including confirmatory studies in healthy infants, have been completed, with a marketing authorization application submitted to Japanese regulatory authorities.[3][8][12][20]
