MT-5625 is a plant-based, non-replicating virus-like particle (VLP) vaccine that was under development by Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma. It is designed as an immunostimulant and has been investigated for use as a rotavirus vaccine. The vaccine is administered intramuscularly and does not contain any live or replicating viral material, instead using VLP technology to stimulate an immune response against rotavirus infection.
