Overview

MT026 is an allogeneic universal chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (UCAR-T) therapy that targets interleukin-13 receptor subunit alpha-2 (IL13Rα2). It is being developed primarily for the treatment of solid tumors, with a focus on recurrent high-grade glioma. The product leverages gene transfer technology to engineer donor-derived T cells to express a CAR specific for IL13Rα2, enabling targeted cytotoxicity against tumor cells expressing this antigen. Early clinical data indicate promising anti-tumor activity and manageable safety in patients with recurrent glioma. Common adverse events include fever and hypoxia; most are mild or moderate in severity. The developer is T-MAXIMUM Biopharmaceuticals (Suzhou), which utilizes its mature allogeneic cell therapy platform for this candidate[1][3][5][6][8].
