Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MT1001 is an experimental, macrophage-targeted doxorubicin immunoconjugate being developed using Navidea’s Manocept platform for the treatment of Kaposi sarcoma and potentially other solid tumors enriched in CD206-positive tumor-associated macrophages. It is designed to deliver a doxorubicin payload selectively to CD206-expressing cells via a Manocept-based targeting scaffold linked through acid-labile linkers that release doxorubicin in the acidic endosomal environment, aiming to increase local antitumor activity while reducing systemic and especially cardiac toxicity associated with conventional doxorubicin therapy.[3][9]
