Overview

MT1002 is a novel synthetic 32-amino acid bispecific peptide developed by Shaanxi Micot Technology for the treatment of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and related cardiovascular conditions. It is designed to function as both a direct thrombin inhibitor and an antagonist of the platelet glycoprotein IIb/IIIa receptor (integrin alpha-IIb/beta-3), providing antithrombotic and anticoagulant effects. The drug is administered intravenously, typically as a bolus followed by infusion, particularly in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). As of early 2025, MT1002 has reached Phase II clinical trials in China for ACS but has had some trials suspended or terminated in the United States due to commercial or strategic reasons[1][3][4][7].
