Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**MT102** is an orally investigated multi-component natural drug product developed by Mthera Pharma for inflammatory bowel disease. It is derived from *Juglans mandshurica* and *Isatis indigotica* and is designed to reduce intestinal inflammation through aryl hydrocarbon receptor activation and inhibition of the NLRP3 inflammasome. Mthera Pharma reports that Phase 1 development was completed under the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. A published preclinical formulation study evaluated MT102 in a murine ulcerative-colitis model and identified poor aqueous solubility as a limitation of the unformulated product.
