Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MT3 is a monoclonal antibody developed to investigate the role of the CD45RB ectodomain region in immunocyte-thyrocyte signaling, particularly in autoimmune thyroid diseases like Hashimoto's thyroiditis and Graves' disease. In vitro studies showed that MT3 stimulated peripheral blood mononuclear cell proliferation. In severe combined immunodeficient (SCID) mice engrafted with human thyroid cells, MT3 maintained or up-regulated the expression of human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-DR and intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM)-1 on thyrocytes.
