Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MTAI-1025 is a potent and selective oral small molecule NRF2 agonist being developed by Montai Therapeutics for the treatment of ulcerative colitis. Derived from the company's Anthromolecule chemistry via the CONECTA platform, the drug activates the NRF2 transcription factor, a master regulator of cytoprotective gene networks. In preclinical models, MTAI-1025 has demonstrated the ability to attenuate inflammation, promote mucosal protection, and address epithelial barrier dysfunction and oxidative stress. As of late 2025, the compound is advancing toward IND-enabling studies as a potential first-in-class oral therapy for inflammatory bowel disease.
