MTX-463

MTX-463 is a first-in-class human IgG1 monoclonal antibody developed to neutralize WNT1-inducible signaling pathway protein 1 (WISP1), also known as CCN4, which is implicated in the progression of fibrosis. By blocking WISP1-mediated fibrotic signaling, MTX-463 aims to halt or reduce fibrosis across several debilitating diseases. Preclinical studies demonstrated significant reduction of fibrosis in vitro and in animal models. The drug completed a Phase 1 trial in healthy volunteers, showing good tolerability and target engagement at all tested doses. Mediar Therapeutics is advancing MTX-463 into Phase 2 clinical trials for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) with Eli Lilly holding global licensing rights for further development and commercialization following Phase 2 completion[1][3][6][8].
