Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MTX110 + gadolinium is a combination therapy administered via convection-enhanced delivery (CED) directly to brain tumors. MTX110 is a water-soluble form of panobinostat free base, achieved through complexation with hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HPBCD). Gadolinium is included as a contrast agent that helps visualize abnormal areas in the brain during treatment. The combination is designed to bypass the blood-brain barrier, allowing for higher drug concentrations at the tumor site while limiting systemic exposure and potential side effects.
