Overview

MuBBzT2 is a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Wellington Zhaotai, specifically designed to target Mucin 1 (MUC1) for the treatment of lung cancer. The CAR construct features a 4-1BB (CD137) co-stimulatory domain and a CD3-zeta signaling domain, a combination intended to enhance the metabolic fitness, persistence, and anti-tumor activity of the engineered T cells. MUC1 is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is frequently overexpressed and aberrantly glycosylated in various epithelial cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer, providing a tumor-associated antigen for targeted immunotherapy. MuBBzT2 is currently in the preclinical stage of development as part of Wellington Zhaotai's pipeline of next-generation cell therapies.
