Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MUC-1-loaded dendritic cells is an autologous dendritic cell immunotherapy being developed by the Third Military Medical University and Xinqiao Hospital for the treatment of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The therapy consists of patient-derived dendritic cells loaded with Mucin-1 (MUC-1) peptide antigens. When administered, these antigen-presenting cells stimulate a targeted T-cell-mediated immune response against MUC-1-expressing tumor cells. It has been evaluated in clinical trials in China in combination with radiotherapy for patients with middle or late-stage NSCLC.
