Overview

MUC16 ARTEMIS T-cell therapy is an investigational cell therapy developed by Eureka Therapeutics in partnership with Bristol Myers Squibb (via its subsidiary Juno Therapeutics). The therapy utilizes Eureka's proprietary ARTEMIS platform, which is designed to mimic the natural T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling complex rather than the traditional chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) structure. By utilizing a TCR-like signaling mechanism, ARTEMIS T cells aim to provide high specificity and potency against Mucin-16 (MUC16) expressing tumors, such as ovarian cancer, while potentially reducing the risk of severe cytokine release syndrome (CRS). MUC16, also known as CA-125, is a well-validated biomarker and therapeutic target that is highly expressed in the majority of epithelial ovarian cancers.
