Mucinex Full Force Nasal Spray

Mucinex Full Force Nasal Spray (also marketed as Mucinex Sinus-Max Full Force) is an over-the-counter topical nasal decongestant developed by Reckitt Benckiser. The active ingredient is oxymetazoline hydrochloride (0.05%), a small molecule sympathomimetic amine that acts as an agonist on alpha-adrenergic receptors. By stimulating these receptors in the nasal mucosa, the drug induces vasoconstriction of dilated arterioles, which reduces blood flow and swelling in the nasal passages. It is indicated for the temporary relief of nasal and sinus congestion and pressure associated with the common cold, hay fever, and other upper respiratory allergies. The formulation provides rapid onset of action with effects lasting up to 12 hours and includes a cooling menthol sensation.
