Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MucoBoost (LVT001) is an intranasal, adjuvant-free protein subunit vaccine developed by Lovaltech in collaboration with the BioMap laboratory (Tours University and INRAE). The vaccine is based on a fusion protein, SwFN, which combines the SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein and Nucleoprotein to elicit a broad-spectrum immune response against multiple viral variants. By utilizing a nanocarrier-based mucosal delivery system, MucoBoost aims to induce local respiratory immunity, potentially blocking both infection and transmission of the virus. It is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials (NCT06821126) for the prevention of COVID-19.
