Overview
MucoMilk is an investigational polyclonal-antibody enriched whey protein concentrate (WPC-40) derived from the milk of cows immunized against *Clostridium difficile*. Developed by MucoVax, it is designed to provide passive immunity to prevent the recurrence of *Clostridium difficile*-associated diarrhea (CDAD). The product contains bovine immunoglobulins that target *C. difficile* bacteria and their toxins (Toxin A and Toxin B) within the gastrointestinal tract. It was evaluated in clinical trials as an oral supplement to be taken following standard antibiotic therapy to neutralize residual toxins and prevent relapse.
