Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Mufeed Joshanda is a traditional Unani herbal formulation developed by Dawakhana Tibbiya College (AMU). It is prepared as a decoction (Joshanda) and is widely used in Unani medicine for the treatment of respiratory ailments, including the common cold, cough, catarrh, and chest congestion. The formulation contains a blend of time-tested herbs such as Sapistan (Cordia myxa), Asl-us-Soos (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Barg-e-Gaozaban (Onosma bracteatum), Unnab (Ziziphus jujuba), and Gule-e-Banafsha (Viola odorata). It works by comforting the throat and respiratory passages, suppressing inflammatory processes, and supporting the immune system.
