Mukocil

Mukocil is a dietary supplement developed and manufactured by Pharma-Med, primarily available as Mukocil 600. It is a combination product containing N-acetylcysteine (NAC) and propolis extract. N-acetylcysteine functions as a mucolytic agent by reducing the disulfide bonds in respiratory mucoproteins, thereby decreasing the viscosity of mucus and facilitating its clearance from the respiratory tract. Propolis is included for its natural antimicrobial and immune-supportive properties. Mukocil is used for the symptomatic treatment of respiratory conditions characterized by thick, viscous mucus, such as bronchitis, the common cold, and influenza.
