Overview

Mulberroside F is a natural small molecule compound isolated from the leaves, roots, and stem bark of the mulberry tree (*Morus alba* L.). Chemically identified as a moracin derivative (Moracin M-6), it primarily functions as a tyrosinase inhibitor, effectively suppressing melanin biosynthesis and formation. This activity has led to its investigation as a potential skin-whitening agent in cosmeceutical applications. Beyond its dermatological potential, mulberroside F exhibits antioxidant properties through superoxide scavenging and has demonstrated anti-inflammatory activity in animal models of asthma by inhibiting Th2-cell activation and reducing eosinophil infiltration. It is currently utilized as a research chemical and is not known to be in clinical development as a pharmaceutical drug by any specific company.
