The multi-peptide prostate cancer vaccine is a therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by the University Hospital Tübingen (Universitätsklinikum Tübingen) for the treatment of prostate cancer, particularly in patients with biochemical relapse. The vaccine consists of a cocktail of HLA-restricted peptides derived from antigens highly expressed in prostate cancer cells, such as Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA), Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA), and Prostatic Acid Phosphatase (PAP). It is designed to induce a robust T-cell mediated immune response, specifically activating CD8+ and CD4+ T cells to recognize and eliminate tumor cells. In clinical settings, it is often evaluated in combination with other immunotherapies, such as bispecific antibodies (e.g., PSMAxCD3), to enhance anti-tumor efficacy. The vaccine is typically administered subcutaneously and may be formulated with potent adjuvants like XS15 to maximize immunogenicity.
