Overview
The multicomponent clostridial vaccine is a veterinary biologic under development by Indian Immunologicals Limited (IIL), a subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board in India. This vaccine is designed to provide broad-spectrum protective immunity against a variety of clostridial diseases in livestock, which are caused by anaerobic, spore-forming bacteria of the genus *Clostridium*. These diseases include blackleg, enterotoxaemia, tetanus, and gas gangrene, all of which cause significant economic losses in the livestock industry. The vaccine formulation contains multiple clostridial antigens, intended to offer more comprehensive coverage than individual vaccines like RAKSHA-BQ or RAKSHA-ET in a single administration. It is currently positioned within IIL's research and development pipeline.
