**MultiPepT1De** is an investigational antigen-specific peptide immunotherapy developed by King's College London for recent-onset type 1 diabetes. It is a single injectable mixture of six naturally processed, islet-derived autoantigen peptides, including peptides derived from proinsulin and insulinoma-associated protein 2. Administered intradermally, it is intended to restore immune tolerance to pancreatic beta-cell antigens, reduce pathogenic islet-directed autoimmunity, and preserve residual beta-cell function rather than replace insulin. A completed randomized dose-escalation Phase 1 study evaluated monthly administration over six months and reported acceptable tolerability with immunologic effects consistent with increased regulatory T-cell activity.
