Overview

Multiple Antigen Specific Cellular Therapy (MASCT) is an autologous cellular immunotherapy developed by Beijing Hengrui Yuanzheng Biotechnology (HRYZ Biotech). The therapy utilizes a sequential administration of dendritic cells (DCs) and effector T cells. In the MASCT protocol, autologous DCs are pulsed with a panel of multiple tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) relevant to the specific cancer type, such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). These antigens typically include Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), Glypican-3 (GPC3), and various MAGE family proteins. The antigen-primed DCs are then used to stimulate and expand autologous T cells ex vivo or to prime the immune system in vivo. The goal of this multi-antigen approach is to induce a broad and robust polyclonal T-cell response, reducing the likelihood of tumor escape through antigen loss and effectively targeting residual disease following curative treatments like surgical resection.
