MultiPlex In Vivo CAR-T is an investigational gene therapy platform being developed by Chimeron Bio for the treatment of various cancers. This approach utilizes the company's proprietary ChaESAR™ (Chimeric Enhanced Self-Amplifying RNA) technology delivered via the MultiPlex nanoparticle system. Unlike traditional CAR-T cell therapies that require complex ex vivo manufacturing—where a patient's T cells are extracted, modified in a lab, and reinfused—this therapy is designed to genetically reprogram T cells directly within the patient's body through a simple injection. By delivering self-amplifying mRNA (saRNA) constructs in vivo, the platform enables the expression of Chimeric Antigen Receptors (CARs), including dual-target designs, to drive immune-mediated elimination of cancer cells while potentially increasing patient access and reducing treatment complexity.
