MultiTAA T cells are an adoptive T-cell therapy that uses ex vivo expanded multi-antigen-targeted T cells. These cells are engineered to target multiple tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) simultaneously. In breast cancer applications, they have been developed to target antigens including Survivin, NY-ESO-1, MAGE-A4, SSX2, and PRAME, which are collectively expressed in more than 90% of breast tumors. The therapy involves collecting a patient's peripheral blood, expanding the T cells that recognize specific tumor antigens in the laboratory, and then infusing them back into the patient. Unlike CAR T-cell therapy, multiTAA T cells do not require genetic modification with chimeric antigen receptors and can be administered without prior lymphodepleting chemotherapy in an outpatient setting.
