Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The multivalent gonorrhea vaccine is a bioconjugate vaccine candidate developed by LimmaTech Biologics AG for the prevention of infections caused by *Neisseria gonorrhoeae*. The vaccine is produced using LimmaTech's proprietary bioconjugation technology, which enzymatically links bacterial surface antigens to carrier proteins to induce a robust and broad immune response. By targeting multiple antigens, the vaccine aims to provide protection against a wide range of *N. gonorrhoeae* strains, including those that are multi-drug resistant (MDR). The program has received support from CARB-X and is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in healthy volunteers.
