Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The multivalent gonorrhoea vaccine (also known as LBT-GON) is a bioconjugate vaccine candidate developed by LimmaTech Biologics for the prevention of infections caused by *Neisseria gonorrhoeae*. The vaccine is engineered using LimmaTech's proprietary bioconjugation technology, which enzymatically links bacterial polysaccharides to carrier proteins to enhance the immune response. By targeting multiple antigens, the vaccine aims to provide broad protection against diverse strains of the pathogen, including multidrug-resistant gonorrhea. As of 2024, the vaccine is undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to assess its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in healthy adults.
