Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Multivitamin with Fluoride is a prescription combination product developed and marketed by Method Pharmaceuticals. It is designed for pediatric use to provide essential vitamin supplementation and dental caries prophylaxis. The product contains sodium fluoride as the primary active ingredient for dental health, along with ten essential vitamins: vitamins A, C, D, E, thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pyridoxine (B6), cyanocobalamin (B12), and folate. The fluoride component works by reacting with hydroxyapatite in tooth enamel to form fluorapatite, a crystal structure that is more resistant to acid dissolution and decay than the original hydroxyapatite. It is indicated for children living in areas where the drinking water contains suboptimal levels of fluoride.
