Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Folwell + docosahexaenoic acid is a prenatal nutritional supplement developed by Jwell Pharmaceuticals. It is a combination product typically consisting of the Folwell brand prenatal multivitamin and mineral tablet along with docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). The multivitamin component, which includes essential nutrients such as folic acid, iron, and iodine, is intended to prevent maternal nutritional deficiencies and reduce the risk of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. DHA, an omega-3 fatty acid, is included to support the healthy development of the fetal brain, nervous system, and retinas. This combination is administered orally and is used throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period to support both maternal health and infant development.
