Murine BCMA-targeted CAR-T cells are an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Beijing Boren Hospital for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. The therapy consists of a patient's own T cells that have been genetically engineered to express a CAR comprising a murine-derived single-chain variable fragment (scFv) specific for the B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), typically coupled with 4-1BB costimulatory and CD3-zeta signaling domains. BCMA is a cell surface receptor highly and selectively expressed on malignant plasma cells, making it an ideal target for cellular immunotherapy. In clinical trials conducted at Beijing Boren Hospital, these murine-based CAR-T cells have been evaluated for their ability to induce deep clinical responses, and they are frequently used as a benchmark or comparator for newer humanized CAR-T constructs designed to reduce immunogenicity and improve persistence.
