Overview

Bespoke Biologix's MUSE stem cell therapy utilizes Multilineage-differentiating Stress-Enduring (MUSE) cells, which are a unique, non-tumorigenic subset of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) characterized by the expression of the pluripotency marker SSEA-3. These cells are naturally occurring and possess the ability to survive in extremely harsh environments, such as those found in damaged or ischemic tissues. The primary therapeutic mechanism involves the homing of MUSE cells to sites of injury via the sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) gradient, mediated by the S1PR2 receptor on the cell surface. Once localized, MUSE cells can spontaneously differentiate into cells of all three germ layers—ectodermal, endodermal, and mesodermal—to replace damaged tissue and restore function. Bespoke Biologix is developing this therapy for a broad spectrum of conditions, including cardiovascular diseases (heart attack, heart disease), neurodegenerative disorders (Alzheimer's, Parkinson's), autoimmune diseases (Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis), and for applications in longevity and anti-aging.
