Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Musk Hemorrhoid Suppository (Shexiang Zhichuang Shuan) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Ma Yinglong Pharmaceutical Group. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of hemorrhoids and various anorectal disorders, including rectal bleeding, burning anal pain, and anal fissures. The suppository contains a complex blend of active ingredients, including artificial musk, pearl, borneol, calamine powder, Panax notoginseng, gallnut, artificial bezoar, and belladonna fluid extract. As a TCM product, it does not target a single molecular pathway but instead works through multiple pharmacological actions, providing anti-inflammatory, analgesic, hemostatic, and tissue-regenerative properties. It is administered rectally, typically twice daily, and is approved for marketing in China.
