Mutagrip

Mutagrip is a brand name for a trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine, produced by Sanofi Pasteur. It is formulated to provide active immunization against influenza caused by the specific strains of influenza virus contained in the vaccine, which are selected annually based on World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations. Each standard dose contains 15 micrograms of haemagglutinin antigen per strain for two A strains (H1N1 and H3N2) and one B strain. The vaccine is administered intramuscularly and is indicated for adults and children 6 months of age and older. The mechanism of action involves stimulating an immune response that leads to the production of antibodies against the hemagglutinin surface glycoprotein of the included influenza virus strains, thereby providing protection against infection[3][7].
