Overview

MV209 is a preclinical-stage chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy being developed by MimiVax. It is designed to target survivin (BIRC5), a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) protein family that is highly expressed in a wide range of solid and hematologic malignancies but minimally expressed in normal differentiated tissues. By engineering T cells to express a CAR specific for survivin, MV209 aims to selectively recognize and eliminate survivin-positive tumor cells, potentially overcoming the immune evasion mechanisms common in advanced cancers. The program is currently in the preclinical phase of development for the treatment of various cancers.
