Overview

MVA-209-FSP-B3 is a viral vector-based cancer vaccine component developed by Nouscom as part of the NOUS-209 genetic vaccine platform. It utilizes the Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA) platform to deliver a specific subset of 209 shared frameshift peptide (FSP) neoantigens. These neoantigens are highly recurrent in tumors characterized by microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) or mismatch repair deficiency (dMMR), which frequently occur in colorectal, gastric, and endometrial cancers. In clinical practice, MVA-209-FSP-B3 is typically administered as a boost following a priming dose with a Great Ape Adenovirus vector (GAd20-209-FSP). The regimen is designed to induce a broad and polyfunctional T-cell response against cancer cells expressing these shared neoantigens. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials, often in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors like pembrolizumab.
