Overview

MVA-BN-CV301 is a cancer priming vaccine consisting of a proprietary version of the recombinant modified vaccinia Ankara-Bavarian Nordic (MVA-BN) viral vector. It encodes two human tumor-associated antigens, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and mucin-1 (MUC-1), along with the TRICOM costimulatory molecules (B7.1, ICAM-1, and LFA-3). The vaccine is used as a priming dose in a prime/boost regimen, followed by boosters of recombinant fowlpox virus (FPV-CV301). It is designed to stimulate an immune response against tumors expressing these antigens.
