Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MVA CS + ME-TRAP is a candidate malaria vaccine that combines Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA) viral vector expressing two malaria antigens: Circumsporozoite protein (CS) and Multiple Epitope-Thrombospondin-Related Adhesion Protein (ME-TRAP). It is typically used in a heterologous prime-boost regimen with ChAd63 (Chimpanzee Adenovirus 63) expressing the same antigens. The vaccine is designed to induce strong T-cell responses against malaria parasites during both the sporozoite and liver stages of infection.
