Overview

MVA-mBN120B is a recombinant Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA) based viral vector vaccine developed by Bavarian Nordic for the treatment of HIV infection. It is designed as a multiantigen vaccine, expressing several HIV-1 antigens to elicit a broad T-cell immune response. The vaccine utilizes the MVA-BN platform, which is a highly attenuated, non-replicating orthopoxvirus vector. In clinical trials, it has been evaluated for safety and immunogenicity in HIV-infected individuals with preserved CD4 counts, administered via subcutaneous injection.
