Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MVA-MERS-S is a vaccine candidate developed to protect against the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV). It uses a modified vaccinia virus Ankara (MVA) as a vector, expressing the full-length spike glycoprotein of MERS-CoV. This recombinant vaccine aims to induce immunity against MERS-CoV by stimulating both humoral and cell-mediated immune responses. It has shown a favorable safety profile in clinical trials and is being further developed for potential use in high-risk populations.
