Overview

MVA-NYESO is a vaccine component using the Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA) viral vector to deliver the NY-ESO-1 antigen. It is part of a prime-boost immunotherapy strategy, aiming to stimulate the immune system against cancer cells expressing NY-ESO-1. The MVA vector is a severely weakened form of the poxvirus, incapable of causing disease, and is used as a booster in immunotherapy regimens.
