MVA-RSV is a vaccine developed by ReiThera Srl for the prevention of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) infection. It is based on a Modified Vaccinia Virus Ankara (MVA) vector that encodes the RSV viral proteins F, N, and M2-1. RSV is a common cause of severe respiratory illness, particularly in infants, immunocompromised adults, and the elderly, with no effective antiviral treatment or licensed vaccine currently available.
