Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MVBL is a multi-component combination drug consisting of four compounds: L-selenium-methylselenocysteine (MSC), D-alpha-tocopheryl succinic acid (VES), beta-carotene (beta-Ca), and L-lysine (Lys). Developed as an adjuvant therapy for cancer, it aims to inhibit tumor metastasis, enhance immune function, and provide antioxidant support. The mechanism involves reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels, inhibiting tumor cell migration and invasion, and sensitizing cancer cells to chemotherapy agents like paclitaxel. Preclinical studies in mouse models have demonstrated its ability to prolong survival and reduce lung metastasis.
