MVF-HER-2 refers to a class of synthetic peptide vaccines designed to elicit an immune response against the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2/neu). These vaccines are composed of chimeric peptides that combine a promiscuous T cell epitope from the measles virus fusion protein (MVF) with B cell epitopes derived from specific regions of the HER2 extracellular domain. The goal is to stimulate both T cell and B cell responses targeting HER2-expressing tumor cells. Several variants exist based on different HER2 amino acid sequences, such as 266–296, 597–626, and 628–647. The mechanism involves antagonism or immunostimulation against HER2-positive cancer cells by blocking receptor dimerization and signaling or by inducing antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity. These vaccines have been investigated primarily for metastatic solid tumors including breast cancer and other neoplasms[1][4][5].
