Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MVP-104-IgG is a preclinical-stage monospecific monoclonal antibody developed by Multiverse Pharma, designed to target the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R). The molecule is derived from the proprietary MVP-104 Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB) Shuttle platform, which is engineered to facilitate the active transport of therapeutic agents across the blood-brain barrier into the central nervous system. By combining IGF-1R inhibition with enhanced brain penetration, MVP-104-IgG is being developed for the treatment of primary and metastatic brain tumors, including glioma, as well as potential applications in neurodegenerative diseases. The IGF-1R pathway is a well-characterized driver of tumor cell proliferation and survival, making it a significant target in oncology, particularly in the context of CNS malignancies where drug delivery is traditionally limited.
