MVP-523 is a preclinical-stage deimmunized monoclonal antibody being developed by Multiverse Pharma for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. It is designed as a dual inhibitor of interleukin-12 (IL-12) and interleukin-23 (IL-23), two key cytokines that drive the inflammatory response in autoimmune and chronic inflammatory conditions. Engineered for high potency, MVP-523 reportedly offers five times the neutralization capability of ustekinumab (Stelara) while maintaining molecular stability and safety.
