Overview

MVR-T3011 is an investigational, replication-competent genetically engineered oncolytic herpes simplex virus type 1 developed by ImmVira for solid tumors. The virus is designed for preferential replication and lysis in tumor cells and is armed to express interleukin-12 and an anti-programmed cell death protein 1 antibody, aiming to combine local oncolysis with cytokine-driven immune activation and PD-1 checkpoint blockade. Clinical development includes intratumoral studies in advanced or metastatic solid tumors, intravesical administration for high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer, and development programs in melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, and recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
